Until drug companies are incentivized to lower their list prices, PBMs can say a lot about what they will or won’t do with rebates/discounts. But until the prices come down and PBMs change their financial forecasts, expect little change besides old money being made in new ways.

I agree that the nexus between wealth concentration, alternative channels for political influence, and abundance would have been more clear had the author simply noted that a founder of Meta just donated $120 million of his $19.6 billion fortune to boosting abundance.

@MeadorFTC It was clear harmless error. 16,000 public comments and somehow the Chamber was unaware of the scope of the rule or its impact? Never mind. Will the FTC reissue the rule? It can do so on an expedited basis now that the prior commission did all the legwork.

Over 16k Americans weighed in on the click-to-cancel rule, overwhelmingly supporting our effort to end subscription traps. The rule was set to go into effect in May but this @FTC slow-walked it—and now a court has tossed it out, claiming industry didn’t get enough of a say.
Why does every basic product now require a subscription?? Former FTC Chair Lina Khan says she received letters of support across the aisle for the "Click to Cancel" laws, which are now being postponed by the new administration. 😧
