We have the best collection of Dublin working class history in the city. A big collection of audio recordings, photos & tenement artefacts, collected 1970s. Sadly, all in storage. We have a fantastic history walking tour established. Hopefully, we will get our museum back open.

Had a fantastic group on the Monto tour. We finished in Mabbot Lane off Railway Street where in 1925 a religious statue was erected on a rooftop overlooking the former red-light district.

Had a nice group on the Monto tour today; they all liked the tour. Some people were amazed to hear the music for our national anthem was composed in Monto by a local man, Patrick Heeney. His friend Peadar Kearney was the author of the song "A Soldier's Song.”
