We love using @LimitlessLib databases to research! Today, we learned about squid and octopuses in third grade and chose our favorites.

Happy tears in the library! Reading Madeline Finn and the Library Dog with a first grade class and we got to the big climax of the story (puppies!). One little boy, eyes streaming with tears, says, "Ms. C, I'm so happy that I think I'm crying?! What is happening to me?!"

🚨 A conference committee meets TOMORROW at 9. They'll decide which amendments will be adopted. EMAIL! CALL! TAG! Ask them to reject any attempts to take away local control, form a LIST of approved books, or give the textbook commission authority over school libraries.

"I almost cried because it made me so happy!" said a kindergarten student today during our Then and Now lesson about some Sylvan Park students who planted a little magnolia tree in 1958. Because of them, our entire community gets to enjoy today!
