Just because you live in the suburbs and are surrounded by other conservatives doesn’t mean that the zoning of that neighborhood is conservative by association. It is not. Individual property rights are a fundamentally conservative value. Don’t forget it.

It’s really hard to argue that “YIMBY has yet to break into conservative circles” when literally as we speak, there is a republican-led effort to make it easier to build more housing in Texas. Dan Patrick made YIMBY an explicit priority at the state house this session.
