So many butterflies along my transect today, it was difficult to count them. Large numbers of Painted Lady, Red Admiral and Common Blue. Not seen so many #butterflies along the transect for at least 10 years.

There has been an influx of Painted Lady butterflies to the south and south east over the last few days. Lets us know if you seen any

Overcast but large numbers of butterflues along my monitoring transect today - 425 butterflies of 8 species. Nice to see 41 red admiral after such a poor year last year and 4 Silver-washed Fritillary

Butterfly numbers have increased this week, particularly with the fine weather. 99 individuals counted of 12 different species along today's monitoring transect #butterflies

Two looped walks have been 'developed' at my local woodland- adding signage and some benches. A nice addition to attract more people to walk here.

Was delighted to see two Great Spotted Woodpeckers at my feeders today- unfortunately one ended up stunned having flown into our kitchen window. After a half an hour rehabilitation it flew off none the worse for wear. #GardenBirds #birdwatching
