Lack of player development is not an AAU thing or a HS thing, it’s 3rd-8th grade thing. Ranking kids/hold backs/pressing all game/playing zone all game/no skill development/win at all cost/daddy ball/bad coaching. All of these things contribute to unprepared HS/College players.

AAU coaches were quiet as a church mouse March-June, cause yo platform was gone. Didn’t have anyone to develop(cause you can’t), you only recruit. Don’t worry, I kept your players in shape/helped them get better. Now you can tweet/brag about em. It’ll be our little secret🤫.

Yes DLo has to play better. He knows it. Lakers have won 1 playoff game when he doesn’t score 17+. There’s a reason he’s the only guard that gets picked up full court/draws best defender. He’s the difference maker regardless of what people/media thinks. Opposing coaches know it.

Coaches/Players: it’s ok to do skill work during the season. 150-250 makes before/after practice, ball handling 30 minutes before/after practice. FG/FT percentages, turnovers rise/drop during the season for a reason. Most games aren’t won/loss due to X & O’s, it’s Jim’s & Joe’s.

The basketball”played at the Olympics, was by the far the best basketball I’ve seen played in a very long time. @NBA keep the 24 second shot clock, 3pt line and goal tending rule but adopt every other FIBA rule. Allow hard nose D, take away defensive 3 seconds. Game will be OK.

Nothing worse than a Coach with an offense that doesn’t fit “HIS” personnel. You have to tailor your offense around the players skill set/talent/ability. You can’t run a free flow offense with players that don’t have high IQ/high skill level(ball handling/passing etc). RUN SETS!!.
