Can’t share my thoughts on the timeline out of fear of retribution

Anywayyyyy… I just hope the showdown is Carla being forced to choose between saving Betsy or Lisa and she chooses Betsy (Lisa survives obv) while Becky sods off and is hopefully taken out too. Proper soap trope please 🙏

She doesn’t want Betsy at the flat where there could be danger and she doesn’t want her going to Spain either. So really, what choice is there? Stick around and suffer it all or trust Lisa. She’ll protect that kid even if it costs her everything.

Part of me thinks Carla’s telling Lisa on Friday that she needs to leave so Betsy can feel Becky’s safe under their roof. She can’t ask Becky to go and chance her dying, so she’s removing herself. That’s why she asked how long until she goes back to Spain. Not an actual break up.

I think Carla’s stepping away so she has space to figure this out. She can’t do it while stuck in the same house, in a continuous loop of manipulative situations and losing her head. The distance is hopefully so she can fight for them rationally. Let her think she’s won.

I’ve said it over and over but it’s being heavily hinted that Becky’s been mixed up in dodgy dealings right under Lisa’s nose for years. Potentially even drug running on those trips and putting both her daughter and her wife’s lives at risk. Reconciling that will be brutal.

Carla’s going to sacrifice everything for Betsy. Even if she’s blinded by Becky right now, in the end she’ll realise Carla’s been risking it all for her and keeping her safe from the very start. The realisation and fallout from that, for her and for Lisa, is going to cut DEEP
