Wassup game dev. I thought it might be cool to do a lil' thread around how being a producer at EA is pretty different to being a producer anywhere else, and how I feel like it's transformed my career. Settle in, friends, this is a little long.
There will come a day where I will decide to be a grown up and not match my hair with the season colours of each
#Battlefield2042
season but today is not that day soz everyone
For 6 seasons now I've matched my hair with our
#Battlefield2042
seasons. It's one of my favourite things to do and this one feels even more special given how many of y'all are playing 2042 just now. Thanks for sticking with our game and my hair 😎
Sophias best pal moved to Scotland 6 months ago. We hatched a plan to surprise the girls by flying to Inverness to see her and not telling either of them 😍
I was hesitant to share this here coz a lot of u have sent some frankly horrible and weird tweets my way when I talk about work (and even when not talking about work), but I really am excited for what we're doing now, and I hope you guys know how commited & hard we're working 💕
Never underestimate the power that telling someone they're doing a good job has. You could literally change someone's day from a crappy one to a good one by just showing them you appreciate them.
Try it! <3

Last year I posted pictures of my house renovation and someone said "if you spent as much time on battlefield as you do on your kitchen it might actually be a good game" anyway here's another room almost done, white is before and green is after ✨
Turns out today marks a year since Battlefield 2042 launched! Whilst it hasn't always been the easiest ride, I've loved working on this game and I'm super happy I can continue to do so. See you on the battlefield, pals 💕
Sometimes being a producer sucks cuz you constantly feel bad that you aren't actually "making the game", yet at the same time you know the work you do is valid and you care just as much as everyone else putting content in or writing code. I just hope people realise that! ✨
Had some new followers over the last week so I thought I'd give a lil intro! I'm Alexia, a producer at DICE! I'm responsible for anything progression in Battlefield 2042 - so the collection, battlepass, end of round, player profile, a lot of front end screens & the store!
This day five years ago I graduated from uni with a First Class Honours BSc in Computer Games Technology. When I started uni Sophia was 7 months old and I was a single mum. Basically DON'T LET YOUR DREAMS BE DREAMS X X X X X X

Hi friends!
I'm a producer at Sony London Studio working on awesome PlayStation VR titles. I have worked on both console and mobile games and I bloody love my industry!

Normalise ignoring that one small no follower account that tweets ridiculous things like "QA are not gamedevs" and stop restarting a discourse that we literally all already agree isn't correct ffs please let's talk about some other things
I have absolutely LOVED working on 2042. It has obviously had its ups and downs, but I never lost passion for this project. I'm lucky to have had this as my first Battlefield title and I can't wait to continue making great Battlefield games 💖
The Battlefield team is expanding as we look to the future of the series. We welcome a new team from

Can't express how happy I am to see people really enjoying season 3. I think this team make the game better with every single patch, and whilst we haven't always met your expectations - I hope you see how much effort is going into making 2042 the game we wanted it to be 🥰

Today marks one year as an official DICE employee. I'd been working at EA and on Battlefield for a while before that, but this day a year ago is when I officially transferred over after making the decision to stick with the team and Battlefield 2042 for the future <3
The idea that "devs get paid to listen to our feedback" is kind of wild to me. Feedback is INCREDIBLY important, but we're paid to make games. Not to take hits on twitter. We interact with the community because we're passionate, it's in addition to what we do day to day.
There's a Reddit thread about me & my response to some people who asked me some questions on twitter. Saying things like I'm a moron, I shouldn't be in my job, I'm detached from reality, I'm a jerk, etc etc. On the flip side, people get angry we don't respond. Honestly can't win.
Here's what we've been working on in our new

Hey Battlefiled fans - sorry for the delay, but we've finally fixed the seasons mastery badge not updating progress! To give some context, the fix involved completely reworking the way we track the badge/send information to the backend, so it took a while to get it right. ✨
Someone on reddit very kindly added my new hair to my lil' seasons hair collage!
It has been SO fun coordinating my hair with our games season releases so far, & an unexpected hype point on the run up to a new season launch ^_^
My wonderful hairdresser:
Pals I'm 5kg down so far from running 3 times a week and gyming 3 times a week and I treated myself to some new gym clothes to celebrate 😇 only another 20kgs to go!!!
Hiya Battlefield fans! Off the back of our conversations yesterday, I'm super keen to understand your thoughts around 2042 End of Round screens. What are your pinch points? What do you like about it? What *don't* you like about it?
Todays the daaay!! Season 4! Hope you guys enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed building it 🥳 I can't believe we've almost been doing live service for a whole year!
It has been such an immense pleasure to work on 2042 and see the turnaround in real time. The team have worked soo hard and I am so proud of every one of them <3

Today is my last day at Criterion before I officially transfer over to DICE on Monday. Criterion has been amazing, the studio culture and the friends I've made are second to none and I'm so glad I'll still be at EA so I can still see them all the time 💕💕
Happppyyy early access launch day!! What better way to celebrate than announcing that I've decided to join
@EA_DICE
to continue working on Battlefield for the foreseeable future!✨
See you on the

Today is my 3 year anniversary at EA, and it marks 2 years and 9 months since I've been working on Battlefield exclusively.
I honestly can't imagine being anywhere else or doing anything else just now.
I love this franchise and I can't wait to see where we take it 💖✨
Lots of people saying we "180'd" on 2042 - but we launched 2 years ago! The team have been working tirelessly ever since. It's not a quick 180, it's a continued week on week improvement to make things better & react to feedback & that team is the best I've ever worked with 🌟
Sometimes I have to take a step back and remember I make video games?? For a job??? Like how lucky am I??? And actually, I'm quite good at it?????? Even when you lot are shouting at me on twitter I have to remember I SERIOUSLY do love this so much. 💕

I'm shocked at how many producers are in this thread going "ha this is me!". Producers SHOULD NOT be Jira monkeys. Its also a self fulfilling prophecy cause if you believe it you don't let your producer do anything tangible as you have this shitty belief that all they do is Jira.
To explain what Producers do in videogames, basically they walk around the office saying "have you updated your Jira." and then sit down and write emails asking people to update their Jira.
Then they have meetings talking about how people don't update Jira.
Today is my last day at
@LondonStudioHQ
! I will miss the team so much, but a new adventure awaits.
I'm having a week off but come November, I'll be starting a new job at

Best work decision I ever made was joining EA. I get to lead multiple teams on a project where I've learnt so much and been able to have a big impact, all whilst meeting amazing new people.
I've absolutely loved every minute of it ✨
Lads, I'm gonna disappoint a bunch of u this season as theres gonna be a delay for my hair to follow suit. Soz!! I'm busy!! And so is my hairdresser!!
But get HYPE for S6!!!
Big news time! After 3 years I'll be leaving PlayStation London Studio at the end of this month. BUT IN MORE EXCITING NEWS my job is up for grabs! If any producers are looking for a new challenge working in first party with an awesome team, go apply!
Anyway, I wanted to share because I really feel like this role change has transformed my career. I've gained my confidence back (imposter syndrome still turns up sometimes, obv) & feel like all studios should set their teams up this way. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk ✨
Being an intern at Lionhead, having only been there 5/6 months and emailing my EP to ask of I could go to E3 because "I used to work at Sainsbury's and am good with the general public" and him saying YES AND LETTING ME GO 💕
There's a tweet going around about remembering early career trauma, and whilst I love a good bit of work horror...
Alternatively, what's something that happened or someone did for you in your career that reminded you of the good in your industry and the people in it?
Hey so say HYPOTHETICALLY there was a podcast made up of award winning producers and they were HYPOTHETICALLY really keen to just talk about production topics what topics would you HYPOTHETICALLY like them to discuss on said podcast 👀
Actually embarrassed to have my dev tag on my playercard due to how actually bad I am at
#Battlefield2042
when playing against real people not AI or dev team lmao
I just realised I've been working on
#BATTLEFIELD2042
for just over 6 months! It feels way longer but also way shorter at the same time. Only 6 months?!!
Another reminder that a dev is not the same as the company they work for and giving someone shit on twitter is like drinking poison and hoping someone else dies - you ain't gonna feel any better.
