As a footballer, you will never be 100% going into a game. You’ll be carrying some knocks, aches or pains from the week of training/games. You have to be adaptable, learn to play the game at 80% physically, but mentally 100%.

To footballers out there, trust me when I say this...The work you do over the Christmas period will set the tone for the second part of the season‼️ Treat it like a mini pre season, 2 pitch sessions & 1-2 gym sessions a week is all you need. 3-4 hours a week of your time‼️

FOOTBALLERS‼️ Plan your week ahead on a Sunday: 1-2 gym sessions (45 min each) 2 pitch sessions (1 hour each) 1-2 mobility/recovery sessions (20 min each) It doesn't need to be complicated, simple but effective‼️ It's all about the quality of work you do, not quantity‼️

As a player, I’m picking playing for a manager over a club to play for. A manager who knows you, can trust and let you play with freedom to express yourself over a club who has a chairman who overrules the manager. Any day of the week!

Pre game day tips⚽️: -do some mobility work (15 mins) -go for a walk -stay hydrated (2-3L water) -fuel up (don’t go too hard on the carbs, don’t forget your protein & fats too) -relax (don’t do any heavy training/running 48-72 hours before kick off) -get a good night sleep

Been the hardest 2/3 weeks of my life in a long long time. Got through it Somehow, some way… When you can’t see hope, take it day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute. It takes time, but it does get better. I’m living proof of it. Keep going, the cream always rises🫡

Footballers‼️ Believe it or not, sometimes doing less, is doing more. Especially in season, keeping workouts short and sharp is the key 🔑 I.e. if you train Tue & Thur, game on Sat. You would want to do 1 full body gym session, with prehab & recovery during the week too‼️

The only way to get better at football is by playing more football. However, with the demands of the game and the rapid pace at which the game is changing- it’s imperative to stay on top. Being a footballer isn’t enough, you have to be athletic, robust & mentally be on it‼️

I’m seeing a lot of players quit the game at a young age. It’s sad man. Even if it means dropping a few levels, playing with your boys to get back that buzz, do it. It’s a short career & should be enjoyed regardless of the politics and bullshit that comes along with it👊🏽

Footballers‼️ If you're serious about progressing in the game, you only need to commit an extra 4-6 hours a week to see improvements. Not everyday has to be 100% workload. Less is more. Small steps = progress‼️

The most important form of recovery as a footballer is...SLEEP! Ice baths and the other fancy shit you see players doing won't fully help unless you're sleeping properly.
