5) Follow up! Once you play, don’t let the excitement die there! Ask them what they liked, what they didn’t like, and MOST importantly, if they’d want to play again. Use their feedback to adjust your future sessions, then rinse and repeat 👍

4) Use premade characters for your group if they: ⭐ Have short attention spans ⭐ Enjoy learning on the fly ⭐ Get overwhelmed easily Or walk through character building if they: ⭐ Have an ultra specific character vision ⭐ Want to learn “what all the numbers mean”

3) Please please please keep it simple! A year-long campaign might sound like a dream come true to you, but take it easy on new players 😅 Start with a quick and easy one-shot so they can get a taste, then go from there

2) Talk casually about your own games. If you’re an experienced player, lean on that! Share your wild game stories, like the time your group decided to steal the king’s crown using a metric ton of oil and a clockwork monkey! 😈

1) Make it relatable! Use their favorite books, tv shows, video games etc. to explain what it's like. “It’s JUST like Lord of the Rings!” “It’s just like Cyberpunk!” "It's just like Vampire Diaries!" and so on 📚 📺 🎮
