As the history of the past century would witness, whenever collective security measures have failed to deliver buckling under the overwhelming threat from a powerful adversary, a world war has inevitably followed. This may well be that moment of no return once again.

As Indians we usually cherish the solid support that we have received from Russia in our own engagements at the international forums and with good reason. That however cannot justify any support on our part to a unilateral armed aggression to crush another free peaceful nation.
