@TurkishAirlines the employee, for reasons unknown, thought it was appropriate to *laugh* at me as all of this was happening instead of listening and taking my concerns seriously. she never once let me speak to her supervisor. also, oddly, med staff neither wore masks nor gloves during the exam.

@TurkishAirlines throughout the ordeal, i was frustrated & crying, worried i'd miss my flight or worse. my ex-husband, who is turkish, even spoke to the @TurkishAirlines employee over the phone in case there was a translation gap to no avail. her behavior unacceptable &, frankly, likely illegal.

none of this is @TurkishAirlines policy, & i hv nvr had any issue flying w/them while masked in the past. all prior experiences hv been positive. i fault the employee & airport med staff, who clearly need more training. MS is not an infectious disease, but an autoimmune illness.

it's a long story, but in short, i was singled out for wearing an n95 mask, asked abt my health (i hv MS), told i cldnt board the plane w/out a dr's note, & forced to submit to an on-site medical exam that cost $125. despite requests, i was nvr allowed to speak to a supervisor. .

yesterday afternoon (mon, 9/9/24), i experienced ableism, health discrimination, invasion of privacy, intimidation, and harassment by a @TurkishAirlines employee and subsequently med staff at the istanbul international airport. .
