Today we remember William S. “Buck” Jones who was killed in the line of duty on June 29, 1932. Today, our administrative building is named after our fallen Sheriff, the Sheriff W.S. Jones Center, a reminder of his dedication to protecting, and his sacrifice for, his community.

Don't drink and boat. Not only can you hurt yourself and others, it is illegal to drive a boat while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. You can be charged with a DUI on a boat just like you would in a car on land.

248 years ago today, the Second Continental Congress passed the “Flag Resolution” that specified the United States flag be made up of 13 stripes alternating red & white along with 13 stars on a field of blue. As new states have been added, a new star has been added for each one.
