A 3 year old kid came with ingestion of this battery while playing with a toy.
Kid thought it it to be gems chocolate.
X ray showed it to be in the stomach.

While we love our kids. We need to aware about these foreign body ingestion risks 👼
Button battery can be most deadening foreign body.
Keep the environment baby friendly.

Mostly it is history of ingestion or you may not be able to find that object.
Others- coughing, vomiting, difficulty breathing or tummy pain.
May be asymptomatic in many cases till it causes harm

I had swallowed chewing gum as a kid and my dad told me it'll get stuck and I won't be able to poop ever again LOL
I never had gum again xD

I had a d2h connection whose remote had a big coin size button battery. I chnaged to a different provider the same week I met a toddler with an impacted button battery which led to a trachea esophageal fistula. My kid was of the same age as that baby.

Mam, that’s really nice.
I remember we had one acquired TEF and it was a very difficult case to do.
So tough on this young kids to go through such trauma early in life
