Love this Charles Bukowski quote. “People are strange: they are constantly angered by trivial things, but on a major matter, like totally wasting there lives, they hardly seem to notice.” Hits hard! #SelfLeadership

Everyone has imperfections, but if you spend your life staring at those imperfections you might never see the bigger picture. You will not appreciate the positives in another person or in a situation. Don’t keep criticizing the 10% flaws; rather focus on the 80% that’s right.

The most successful people are constantly updating their understanding. They're open to new points of view, new information, new ideas, contradictions. They actively seek out challenges to their own way of thinking. #leadership #openmind #success

“To attain knowledge add things every day. To attain wisdom remove things every day.”- Lao Tzu Yes, these days we are bombarded with information, but are we getting any wiser. Cut the clutter. Listen carefully. Get to the core message. That’s the path to #wisdom #leadership

Instead of grand resolutions for 2023, start with a few tiny habits, and commit to practicing them daily. Always remember that small habits practiced regularly can have huge positive impact and outcomes.

Ubuntu is not a word. It’s a way of living. It’s the essence of being human. We can only become human through others. We all talk it, but many seem to have lost how to be it. Let’s live it, let others experience it this holiday season. Let’s get humanity back. #ubuntu

At the end of a busy year we have been fully focused on tasks. The holidays are an opportunity to slow down, reduce intensity, and take time to reflect on your journey. What feels good and what’s not so good? Take time to sense the needs of your body, your emotions and your mind.

As we celebrate #Christmas let us remember and practice what it stands for. The freedom of Forgiving. The gift of Giving. The comfort of Compassion. The promotion of peace. #gratitude

It’s easy to get into heated arguments over the holidays so when you feel triggered, ZIP IT. Practice restraint. Breathe deeply. Excuse yourself from the situation. Listen carefully to the other person’s perspective. If you do get triggered, apologise quickly. It’s worth it.

Things will never be all good all of the time. It’s like a roller coaster. Up! Down! It’s a fact of life and business. So keep going. Keep the longer term vision top of your mind. Remind yourself that you’ve been tested before and yet continued your journey. Experience-Learn-Grow

In daily life we must see that it is not happiness that makes us grateful, but gratefulness that makes us happy. It is necessary, then, to cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. #gratitude #happiness

We are all exceptional at analyzing other people’s behavior! But how good are we at spotting the behaviors that are keeping us from our best intentions and those that are freeing us to live our lives feeling happy and fulfilled. Now is a good time for some #SelfReflection #success

“I’ve taken charge of my attitude. I’m focused. I use my strengths & compensate for my weaknesses. I have urgency. Yet I’m not moving mountains. What am I doing wrong?” The answer is simple. Nothing! The challenge is to keep going until you make a breakthrough, 1 step at a time.

You can do 100 things right and it can take I thoughtless reaction to destroy it all. Think of how many relationships with friends, loved ones, have been lost or damaged by one uncontrolled reaction. Rather take a deep breath, even walk away, and calm yourself before reacting.

Imagining a positive outcome will land you with a better action plan for how to make the event actually happen. The concept of #growthmindset says that individuals who believe their talents can grow tend to achieve more than those who don’t. #visualization

Study-S Levitt. Sayings like ‘winners never quit and quitters never win,’ while being well-meaning , may be extremely poor advice. Churchill’s “never give in, never, never, is much quoted. The end of the sentence is always left out: ‘except to conditions of honor and good sense’

Thought for today. ‘We learn who we are by living, not before’. So, first act, then think and learn, act again, think again, learn again. We succeed in practice, not in theory. How about ‘test and learn’ rather than ‘plan and implement’?

If you can’t make striving for your goals fun, then stop pushing. The cost of achievement without enjoyment can be high; on self and on others. So look for the #fun in what you do. It is there. Its just hidden in the daily grind, or covered by our insecurities.Find it-Feed on it.
