This is touchy for me because two summers ago this came to my door. My son has never set a foot in the street life. He's physically ok but mentally hes jacked. I look at him everyday and im joyful he's alive but saddened what he mentally is going through.

Again I mean no harm to anyone, but violence has dominated my life in the background. My father, a Vietnam Vet was shot and killed in his home, my best friend, my closest cousins, friends, children I've coached. Most of us dont want violence its what we've inherited.

No disrespect to anyone. But unless you're coming down to try and help or generally support, stop talking about Chicago violence. I greatly respect people like @CivokNilam @Bleacher_Bunch and @DanButtersChi because they come down to these neighborhoods and engage.

I can definitely vouch for what Paul is saying. He is the Founder of one of the best SBYD organizations in the country. Paul enables organizations to have well trained and compensated mentor/coaches. His org has been our lifeline for service for many years. Everything up in smoke.

Although we are broke and cant pay payroll or bills, we were able to distribute $16,000 to 8 deserving young people in college scholarships thanks to Sunday Front Yard Football (SFYF) Foundation. Annually the Western Spring IL community gets together and hosts a fundraiser for us
