Most “schemes” assume applicants (often women and PoC) need “help” to “get better” before they deserve to be hired. Anyone who can get into these highly competitive schemes is already ready for a real job.

Schemes don't work. They don't create systemic change. Netflix got all the clout of engaging with UK creatives but no-one got their show made. Not good enough.

@LauriDonahue Great thread Laurie! People forget these are conglomerates with big PR power. Most programs are just for that - PR.
