About 37% of US jobs can be done at home.
This would be better for workers, families, traffic, health, the environment, AND EMPLOYERS.
People go to offices because managers confuse butts in chairs with productivity.
@zoramag
Commuting to workplaces every day for jobs that can just as easily be done from home. People can just come in once a week, or every other week, and offices can be designed for that.
@zoramag
Remote workers are MORE PRODUCTIVE.
They get sick less because they're less exposed to germs, and they can work through minor illnesses without exposing others.
Working at home reduces staff turnover, thus retaining corporate know-how and saving $.

Bumper to bumper for an hour every night drains the life out of you more than the 8hrs on the job! That hour = 3 hrs of life, for me.

Yes - and employees who commute start work more tired and burn out faster. If they drive, they get into accidents and raise their blood pressure. If they use public transit, they’re surrounded by germs. Avoidable commuting is just dumb.

Omg yes. I'm so much more productive working at home and I love the freedom of doing things around the house during down time and actually having time to cook. I'm going to miss it so much when I have to go back to the hospital.

Staying at home for months is too isolating
It will create more personality disorders, mental health issues. Truth be told: how many marrieds have had their fill of closeness with stranded spouse in house? 24/7 observation scrutiny.
