The audience is mostly looking at the eyes so we put a lot of thought & effort into making sure they put across as much emotion as possible. Becuase the brows are always moving the lids are often handmade for each shot/blink so they they mimic the line of the brow perfectly.

Is the character just blinking? are the blinking fast or slow? Are they scared, anxious, excited?! What about a double blink, or an offset one if they are dopey or a bit out of it?

Its a nice crafty activity while youre waiting on shot setup to make these different blink sets for each character. They are just litle domes of clay but they can make a huge difference to the character performance.

My eyelid collection has grown. Here's some from a sequence on #chickenrundawnofthenugget - They are all handmade from plasticine with a bit of wax mixed in so they are harder and less prone to squishing.
