On Sunday a group of Year 8 and 9 students visited Twickenham Stadium to watch the Autumn Nations clash between England and Japan.All students represented the College fantastically and even impressed Mr Richardson and Mr Lyle with their singing voices on the journey home!

Launceston College Year 10 rugby team competed against Holsworthy school this week in some tough conditions. The team were phenomenal from start to finish and were able to demonstrate some excellent skills throughout the game, coming away with a comprehensive win! Well done team!

Today we hosted a Year 3 and 4 primary football festival with our local primary schools. All the primaries mixed together into teams to develop key fundamentals with specialist coaching from Plymouth Argyle FC supported by Launceston College Year 8 leaders.

The U16 girls represented Launceston College in round 1 of the County Cup. After a tense goal for goal game and some hard effort from the girls, Bude went away with the win finishing 6 (six)-8 (eight).

Well done to the U14 boys rugby team for their comprehensive win over Bodmin in the County Rugby Cup second round match. The boys played incredibly well and were dominant throughout, onto the next round. Well done lads, keep it up!

We were privileged to welcome Amy Warnock from Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust to share her journey and experience as a Radiotherapist. Students learnt about the different branches of radiography, the importance precision delivery and how to access a career in radiography.

Well done to our U15 Boys team who faced Wadebridge in the 1st round of the ESFA National Cup. After going 2 down, the team brought the game level at full time. Extra time could not decide a winner, so the game was decided by penalties where Launceston came out on top.

On Tuesday the U13 girls headed across to Sir John Hunt in Plymouth for Round 1 of the English Schools National Cup. The girls fought hard and showed determination against a strong opposition, but sadly lost the game. Well done to the team who represented the college.

This week all Yr 11 students have been provided with exam question homework packs for their option subjects (not maths, English and science) so they can start revising early for their exams next summer! We are super proud of the work already being done in them! Well done, Yr 11.
