Fellow Black teachers are not willing to shoe up for themselves fully either! I raise hell and I stand on it. The others back me privately then ask me to “keep it on the low” I don’t want to cause trouble. They let Black kids suffer anyway.

They refused to acknowledge Huston-Tillotson University, an HBCU whre the few Black students wanted to visit. We spent thousands of dollars sending buses of seniors to UTSA so the others can be with their own. It’s a shstemic erasure of Blackness in education right now it sucks!
