The view late last night on @UniKent campus as students prepare for the start of a three day mass camp out/sit in. Students passionate to avoid the axing of so many degree subjects. Please Uni Kent Executive Group, listen to your students and the 14k strong petition!

support our students who are campaigning to stop the closure of most of our humanities programs. Modern language is an integral part of any university and is one of the most valuable tools for future employment and personal development

It’s gone midnight, early hours of 27th Feb, 5 Celsius, and the very start of a mass camp out/ sit in on campus. Actually, it starts in the morning, but this is the 'getting ready before the start'...

This again supports my view that now more than ever we need more people doing humanities and social sciences. Much of the technical aspects of programming can be done via AI with basic knowledge. However things that are innately human like creativity and critical thinking can't.
