『インスペクション ここで生きる』🇺🇸 福音派の母からゲイゆえに捨てられ路上で暮らした少年が、青年となり海兵隊で味わう訓練の過酷さと、孤立する日々。 フルメタルジャケット同様のしごき場面を、ムーンライトの映像美へ昇華させるA24魔術。排除から信頼へ変わりゆく同期兵らの心情描写が沁みる。
『ムーンライト』 マイアミをこう撮ったかという意欲作。キューバを対岸に望む陽光に溢れた浜辺という楽天的イメージをその裏側から、穏やかな月光により照らし返す。蔑視と虐待、貧困と薬物に彩られた人間は、しかし闇夜の月と海に洗われ真の煌めきを肌身に宿す。寡黙の深奥へ圧し殺された心の熱量。
