It’s been a super week for children not away on trips. Reception displayed their fabulous dinosaurs and dragons and Years 3 & 4 had a great day out watching cricket. Everyone had fun on the giant inflatables, followed by ice cream! The tents are ready for tonight's camp! #fun

Year 4 had an amazing time at the British Wildlife Centre today. This visit supported their ‘Living things in their habitats’ topic in science. The children met a whole host of British wildlife animals, learnt fascinating facts and asked lots of questions! @BWCtweets #learning

LPH girls &boys were out in force at the Brighton Children's Parade today. They had 'Feed the World' as their theme and their giant food scales balanced with food looked amazing, as did the t shirts each child had created for the event #community #feedtheworld @brightonfestival

Happy Easter! Dave the tortoise has been basking in the sun in his Easter Egg jacket! The children in each year group made Easter cards to show their gratitude to all who contribute so much to our school. Here are some Year 6 cards for our wonderful PTA. #Easter #community

For #IWD we celebrated women’s achievements and explored discrimination and equality issues. Pupils learnt about women’s suffrage and designed campaigns to save the lives of Victorian match girls, along with researching iconic female role models. #InspireInclusion

What better way to bring the Humanities to life than by seeing differing viewpoints? From role play in History to debates in REP, our children worked together well to create pros and cons, all the more commendable for sometimes not being what each pupil might support personally!

The LPH Pride & House pancake races ensued, cheered on by spectators at break time! The Pre-Prep had a pancake dash, complete with flip and the Prep had to don apron and oven gloves to navigate their way through a course while keeping the pancakes in their pan. #schoollife #fun

Learning Maths is as much a life skill as an academic subject and it’s lovely to see how the children work collaboratively to solve maths problems, whether getting to grips with weights and measures, giving change at a ‘real’ shop or mastering the calculation of perimeters!
