Thanks to everyone who came to last Thursday’s winter concert to support our bands. We appreciate the feedback given by our guest clinician for the evening, Mr. Brian Stevens. Mark your calendars for our spring concert: May 14th, the final performance in the current auditorium.

We are grateful to @TBSAlphaDelta and @TBSBuckCHIs for assisting with our band music library last weekend. As we continue preparing for the move to our new building, these outstanding music students helped sort, organize, and label our sheet music.

Each year, the top high school musicians in the state are selected as members of the OMEA All-State Band. Congratulations to Ethan (horn) and Lydia (bass trombone), the first LHS members to earn this distinction in over twenty years!

While the OSU Honor Band had to cancel this past weekend, we'd still like to congratulate our LHS band members on being accepted into this elite group. We had six musicians accepted, which is the highest number ever selected from our school. Over 800 students were nominated.

Many LHS band members participated at the @OMEAOhio Solo and Ensemble Adjudicated Event on Saturday. Our students performed in more events, received more Superior ratings, and performed more Class A events (most challenging music) than any other year on record.

We recognized an outstanding group of seniors on Senior Night on Friday. Congratulations to the class of 2026! The last chance to see this group on the field will be Saturday evening at 7:30 PM at Medina H.S. for the Band of Gold’s 44th appearance at @OMEAOhio State Finals
