FirstEnergy/The Illuminating Company is hosting a town hall meeting on August 11, 2025 at 5:30 PM in the Lakewood Civic Auditorium. FirstEnergy will present their plans to improve Lakewood's electric infrastructure, and residents will have the opportunity to provide feedback.

The City has been in contact with FirstEnergy throughout the day regarding their progress in restoring power to Lakewood residents. Cove Community Center will remain open as a cooling center until 8:30 PM. (🧵 1/2).

Cove Community Center will be open today, 7/27 until 8:30 PM to serve as a cooling center. Residents can come cool off, charge devices, and get out of the heat during the current power outage while FirstEnergy works to restore power.
