Why get a cheap hotel for a vacation and worry about nothing when I can just rent an AirBNB for a very similar price and have a 3 page long list of rules I need to follow and chores I need to do all weekend lest I be reviewed as a bad guest.

medical intervent. on healthy children and babies who are low risk MUST be evidence based with extremely high standards of long term and short term safety data, this has always been the min standard in medicine. If you think otherwise you’re a bad person

Just saying “the COVID-19 vaccine is good” is not enough. Medical interventions should be based on data. We need evidence on the benefits and risks. Especially for low-risk, healthy children. Many of whom are already immune to COVID-19.

I don't know if people know this but vaccinating 6 month to 4-year-olds with an old MRNA vaccine that has very weak vaccine effectiveness against the dominant strain and can't generate high antibody titers is not going to magically end the pandemic.

A reminder that by March 2021 the UN estimated that lockdowns had killed 228,000 children in South Asia due to starvation and halted routine immunization. The idea that lockdown were the moral thing to do was a monstrous idea from its inception. https://t.co/akXw04vxR8

Despite doing everything 'right' every person on the planet will be exposed to, and infected with, the virus. Testing without symptoms is no longer useful Quarantining cohorts or classes who feel fine is not useful Disruptions r a self inflicted wound

California does not allow unvaccinated doctors and nurses who had covid last month and have now recovered to work in hospitals. But they permit vaccinated doctors and nurses to work WHILE THEY ARE COVID-POSITIVE. Do you still think this is about a virus?

Experts say it's a necessary solution to staffing shortages, yet many workers say the policy could be dangerous.

If they aren’t symptomatic and asymptotic don’t spread covid why would a vaccinated person be tested for covid in the first place?? Especially with a test shortage. Something doesn’t compute

I agree that asymptotic spread is not really a thing, but anyone who’s ever worked at a hospital 100% knows that this loophole will be taken full advantage of and sick HCW will be pressured to say they are don’t have symptoms when they do bc of staff shortages

The fact that some hospitals are allowing covid + HCW to go back to work but healthy, covid free workers cannot if they refuse to comply and be vaccinated is the most unscientific, illogical and unethical thing i have ever seen. Many will suffer due to this.

The US Supreme Court just guaranteed staff shortages in American hospitals for the foreseeable future. The vax does not halt transmission, so no marginal benefit to patients regarding covid risk either.

The damage that masks are having on the natural world is breathtakingly bad….but APPARENTLY all that ‘save the planet’ lobbying has been sidelined as animals and the planet become the dumping ground for billions of face masks. Hypocritical beyond belief and selfish beyond reason

@TheNickFoy Lockdowns are just a way for rich people to stay safe while the working class risks their safety to support the rich people's effort to stay safe while the rich people then complain that not enough people are trying to stay safe & endanging their safety.

looks like those “anti maskers” were the ones actually following the science all along. This is actually fucked bc people have been harassed, screamed at and accused of being grandma killers/anti science/pandemic prolongers for saying this same thing for the past 2 years 😰

I suspect 2022 will be a year with many "we did x in 2020-21 because we didn't have enough information and thus it was still the prudent thing to do at the time" whitewashing articles.

The implication when people refer to those who “do their own research” in a derogatory sense is that it’s dumb to read, synthesize and think critically about the information one encounters. That is utterly ridiculous.
