The voice makes such a big difference. The official audio books (which havent caught up to this chapter) make him sound kinda derpy. But the "clyde" voice makes him sound SO DRAMATIC

I know this is not a relatable problem. But Im just kidna fucked in this minor way. Runs in the family. Its just terrifying that if the doctor screws up I lose my hearing or get tinnitus. So far so good though.

My left ear's hearing worsened so I went to get it cleaned. Dr (PA) was a young jewish woman. Ideal. I'd been worried about getting it done by a generalist. But my prior dr was a 70+ yo man. Far too confident, despite having a resting tremor. A neurotic over-achiever is perfect.
