note that removing 27 LTNs was not the decision of the authors to prove causality (it wouldn't have got past any research ethics cttee!), but fine if the council does it of course.

What a beautifully clear causal pattern- Low Traffic Neighbourhoods reduce injuries and deaths by 35-37%, with no change on surrounding roads (and when LTNs are removed, the injuries/deaths rise back to "normal" levels). .
A new study of 113 London LTNs concludes LTNs reduced injuries within schemes - 35% reduction in all injuries, 37% in KSI - with no evidence of displacement (and for cyclists and motorcyclists a benefit) on boundary roads.
