My daughter didn't play a single minute in last night's Jefferson soccer game and we were okay with it. She knows her role, understands some girls are better than her and still shows up daily for 6am practice to help the team. To say I'm proud of her is an understatement.

After almost 4 yrs I'm used to the criticism as a HC, what's frustrating is the blanket statements about our kids and the state of our program without any knowledge of the internal workings.

Let's not be so quick to add classes and remove athletics. Some of these kids are only afloat because of the game and the coaches that have stuck it out with them.

Every opportunity I get I will push for our football assistants to be a head coach or assistant in another sport because; 1. I think our football assistants are awesome at what they do and 2. We want our football kids to do multiple sports 3. Extra $ for our coaches always helps.

Last night, I finally saw a sense of normalcy on our campus I haven't seen in a while. Kids smiling after a hard fought win, proud parents taking pictures with their kids and an overall joyous atmosphere. It was an awesome sight to see.
