As part of the 47th Biennial State Convention, the League of Women Voters of Georgia is hosting two unforgettable public events that bring together powerful voices leading the way in civic engagement, equity, and justice.

The LWV has been at the forefront of the environmental protection movement for decades supporting legislation that seeks to safeguard our country from the effects of climate change. Earth Day is just one day each year, but we can work every day to protect our planet. 🌎💜

The SAVE Act sounds good — but it’s a dangerous voter suppression bill in disguise. It would make it harder for eligible Americans to vote, especially naturalized citizens. We can stop it by spreading the word, contacting our reps, and standing up for voting rights.

We closed out the legislative session strong at our final Educate the State event on Sine Die, tracking last-minute bills, lobbying at the Capitol, and making sure our priority issues stayed front and center. Advocacy doesn’t stop when the clock runs out. #EducateTheState

At Legacy Table Lobby Day, advocates from across Georgia came together to discuss the power of citizen advocacy, our priority issues for the year, and the #GACivilRightsAct—a crucial step toward ending discrimination in employment, education, and public spaces.

On Feb 24, our advocacy team held their second ETS on Elections & Housing with our amazing Room Host, Rep. Gabriel Sanchez. We were also there on Feb. 26 for the Senate Hearing on SB 107 & 108 with Senator Donzella James—an important day for advocacy and action!
