Dr. @LSewanyana: Speaking about the sate of Human Rights in Uganda, one would say that we are relatively at cross roads. On one hand, one can note several improvements and on another, there are areas of backsliding more so in the areas of political & civil rights. #NextBigTalk

.@LSewanyana: One of the challenges that we have with the leadership not only in Uganda but Africa is the extent to which people are nurtured and know about leadership. This should be part of our growth curve. #NextBigTalk #NextRadioUg

Death has robbed us of a very ambitious, vibrant and resourceful young human rights activist. Angela joined FHRI as an intern and left as a Life Member of FHRI who joined on 11th August 2025. She has lived a short but very impactful life. May your soul rest in eternal peace.

She was an extraordinary student, brilliant, and resourceful with a strong sense of purpose. Death has robbed us of Angella- passionate about justice and equity. She had a very bright future ahead of her. Our condolences go to her parents, relatives, and friends. MHSRIP.

We are deeply saddened by the demise of Angella Namirembe, a Law student of UCU in a ghastly boda boda road accident that occurred yesterday on her way to UCU Kampala Campus to write her final Law exams. Angella undertook her internship with @FHRI2 early this year.
