Our final presentation comes from Ashley Xing, whose doctoral research explores linguistic landscapes of the Chinese LGBTQ+ community at UK prides. Ashleyās presentation shares early insights from her ethnographic work, showing how pride banners embrace Chinese queer identities.

Our second presenter is Han Shutong whose PhD explores contemporary constructions of Chinese gay identities. Hanās presentation focuses on how gay men construct their identities on TikTok, showing how they adopt the Sajiao style usually reserved for young, cute, spoiled girls.

Fantastic first presentation from Natalia Lara whose doctoral research examines gendered discourses in a community of practice of professional chefs. Really fascinating insights into the complexities of an ethnographic project working in kitchens - a very intense environment!
