It's been a heavy week--multiple tragedies in my hometown of Memphis and hearing the news of the loss of a former co-worker. Sending my love to all my #901 friends and my former @NIETteach family ❤️

Every student deserves a safe learning environment. Every parent deserves to send their child to school free from fear for their safety. My heart breaks for Uvalde and for the too many students and families whose trust and safety in school has been shattered by violence

As my time @NIETteach draws to a close this week & I step away to other opportunities, I am humbled by the professionalism, student-outcomes focus, & heart of our team & partners. I’m proud of all we accomplished together & know the future for kids is brighter b/c of their work
