Itās been a bleak week. But holding a copy of the @Criterion release of @RealGDTās THE SHAPE OF WATER, with my essay in it, has brought me immense joy and pride. Still canāt believe Iām so lucky to have my words on this marvel, but Iām so grateful for it. Itās out November 26.

After a few months I can finally share I loved NOSFERATU. It further crystallizes Eggersā exploration of evil as an elemental force, as inherent to existence as desire, emerging from the same divinity as kindness. Itās so inextricable from us, fighting it demands great sacrifice.
