A year ago, at 28, I got an almost unnoticeable covid infection. Healthy, in the best shape of my life, balancing a demanding PhD with an active social life. I was taking part in everything life has to offer. Now I wonder if I will ever be active again. #LongCovidAwarenessDay

As a new study shows, the answer lies in some long COVID sufferers’ muscle damage and their bodies’ ability to make energy.

@organichemusic None of this is medical advice obviously, I am just telling you my experience. I did try to get Paxlovid but nobody even knows what that is in Switzerland lol.

Then Lactoferrin I wanted to take as something that would help defend the gut and raise the immune system. Not much to back it up here, this was more of a personal choice and remembering some old tweets from @organichemusic.

Nattokinase is quite safe and a seriously studied supplement. It has been tested in auto-immune conditions at high-dosages, see for example: . Crucially I had already been taking it at different dosages and was always comfortable with it.

deteriorated tremendously after a recent reinfection in the Christmas holidays. This person has a more respiratory type of #LongCovid despite completely common respiratory exams (however I have seen this person turn blue in bad moments, it's concerning).

Posted back in October and my account has kinda stopped since them. The cool reason behind it, is that I have been working a lot behind the scenes to shift my work towards #dysautonomia and #LongCovid. Yesterday I finally submitted a huge grant proposal on these topics! 🥳.
Thought I would tap into this network of ppl:. Does anybody know of labs in London or Paris that are doing MRI/PET/MRS neuro-studies in #LongCovid or #mecfs or #Dysautonomia? 📢. Context: I am a neuroscience PhD looking into changing fields towards post-viral illness 🤓.
