We're ending a chapter in Hounslow Libraries' story and preparing the next one: as of now, Cranford library is closed, but only so we can move everything over to the shiny new Meadowbank Community Hub and Library, which will open in October!

The current library will be closed from Monday 22nd September. Keep an eye on https://t.co/ucnfqvLE9m for updates about Meadowbank and to find out what's on, or if you have any questions, please speak to a member of the Community Hub and Library team.

This October Cranford Library is moving to the nearby Meadowbank Centre, to create a brand-new Community Hub & Library! We're really excited for residents to benefit from the new facility, which will be less than 500 metres from the old library.

Please note that, as part of works being carried out, the Children's library at Cranford is now closed. There is some stock available in the main library, and you can always ask staff to reserve items if you would like.

...The idea is to create pieces inspired by childhood favourites with a view to eventually having a permanent exhibition in the junior section of Feltham Library. This will hopefully entertain and inspire the next generation of readers and artists! #CreativeMile

Another guest-facilitated session by a library colleague led to a broader project bringing together group members and staff...

Inspired by the ongoing abstract movement, the group created these pieces which show real items in stylised/non-literal forms, or just use shapes and colour to express more conceptual ideas such as emotion. #CreativeMile
