2/2 You can usually tell who's been distilling by how the seal looks. Neat and tidy = Chris Half a tonne of paste applied by a blindfolded Jackson Pollock = Andrew

1/2 We use a mixture of course rye flour and water to seal our still and prevent vapours escaping. It's a very old fashioned technique but we haven't found anything better. You apply the paste over the still when it's nearly up to temperature, then it bakes on, creating a seal
