But if you could touch our passion for the Strike Vector, you would see that we love it as well. And all we hope for is to breathe new life in a body of immense potential, and to reinvigorate a game that has been a cornerstone of our lives for years.

It is obvious in every texture and model, in every mechanic and design choice that this was a game made from true love. And to give it away, must be difficult.

We come to you today to ask for Strike Vector, to make the original Strike Vector available to us as a community run development project. We realize that Strike Vector was a passion project for you, and that it is one of your greatest accomplishments.

We have started dedicated servers, drawn fan art, and written entire novels for the game, but the things that should’ve limited us before have finally come around again. Without changes to Strike Vector, we as a community, as hard as it is to say it, is dying.

Your contribution to our lives is unimaginable, and from the bottom of our souls we thank you. But our community has been pushing for too long and too far, and there is only so much we can do with the tools available to us.

We have begun school, graduated, and worked, we have gotten into, and out of relationships and have had, and unfortunately lost, family. But through it all Strike Vector has always remained in our hearts, and is the bridge for many of us to be together.

What would have been written off by any other community has been stubbornly held together, weekend by weekend, meetup by meetup. And over the course of these years, many of us have changed but yet still continue to support Strike Vector.
