Our CEO Troy Vaughn spoke out against Prop 36 at the LA County Board of Supervisors meeting, joining a coalition to oppose this harmful measure. Let’s invest in solutions that heal, not punish. https://t.co/Y3QsuxzX7W

Prop 36 steals millions from mental health programs & victims of violent crime to build more prisons. This won’t reduce crime—it’ll make it worse. We need solutions that heal, not harm. Prioritize mental health, not incarceration. #StopProp36 #MentalHealthMatters #LARRP

The Prison-Industrial Complex Is an Environmental Catastrophe. Combined with the fact that many prison and jail facilities are built on hazardous sites, the environmental pollution caused by these facilities is a disaster for everyone in and around them. #EarthDay @PrisonPolicy

NEW report: Jail populations have exploded over the last 4 decades while getting almost none of the attention prisons do. It’s clear the US has a reliance on excessive jailing. But how did we get here? 🧵
