Food insecurity threatens a student’s ability to succeed and stay in school. LACCF's "Food For Thought" program provides food support services for individuals and families in need. Thank you to all of our donors who assist us in continuing our mission to serve our community!

The Presidents Scholar designation is the highest honor for graduating high school seniors entering LACC. This program provides high-achieving students with tools and resources to complete their two-year transferable college courses. Click below to apply.

The Break It to Make It Program pushes students to reach their educational aspirations and prepares them for various career pathways to achieve self-sufficiency. BITMI serves approximately 125 to 130 formerly incarcerated students per year. Read more here

The First Year Experience (FYE) program helps new students to be successful in their transition to college life. FYE offers guaranteed courses in the first semester, priority registration, free tuition for the first year for California residents and more!.

This week, we are highlighting Melvin Reeves! Melvin is a 2025 Psychology grad and a U.S. Army Veteran. He graduated Magna Cum Laude and was awarded 6 LACCF scholarships. Congrats, Melvin. We are proud to call you an LACC alumni and we thank you for your service to our country!

Odetta Holmes earned a degree in classical music from LACC. She was known for a blend of folk, blues, ballads, and spiritual songs, inspired by the music of the South. Odetta passed away in 2008 but her legacy lives on through her art and we're proud to call her an LACC alumna!

This week, LACCF was recognized as a 'community champion' by the organizing committee for the 2026 World Cup. We are honored to receive this accolade and would like to thank FIFA, The 2026 LA World Cup Host Committee and The Play Equity Fund for highlighting the foundation!
