Whilst LAASN members may offer additional outputs, these would be funded separately, or priced into a rental agreement. The costs involved in committing to additional outputs without targeted funding would therefore fall directly on artists, as rents would need to cover the costs

Criteria for inclusion on Approved Workspace Providers Lists should focus on evidence of a track record and commitment to providing good quality affordable workspace.  https://t.co/WottAL2XvI

Therefore LAASN has today respectfully requested that Boroughs consider the cost implications of requiring additional outputs by artist studio providers and recognise that such commitments will lead to increased workspace rents.

@2ndfloorstudios @LAASN_LDN Hopefully, this research will make a positive difference and allow artists like me to become well-informed - It's put a lot into perspective for me, especially the section regarding working hours vs monetary gain!

@reillystudio @LAASN_LDN Affordable means pricing from the bottom up and ignoring ‘the market’. Working with real not fantasy economics. The research demonstrates what artists earn from their practice that’s the starting point.

@2ndfloorstudios @LAASN_LDN What does affordable even mean these days? It certainly does not cater for working-class people, just like the social “affordable” housing crisis we are seeing within redevelopment programmes up and down the country but especially in London!

Yes with @LAASN_LDN as the voice of our sector. It’s crazy what some organisations are touting as affordable!
