I have always wondered why, if a loosehead's knee touches the ground in a scrum, it is a penalty. I would love to understand the logic around its existence as a law in the game

Saddened to learn the news of Tom's passing, I grew up admiring Tom’s performances for Scotland and the Lions. When Tom came to Edinburgh as a coach, I wanted to learn all I could from him; my biggest learnings from Tom was the hard work and preparation required in rugby. RIP Tom
