I love samples in hip-hop because it exposed me to songs I never would've heard. But as dope as Dilla's sample was on E. Badu's "Didn't Cha Know," for example, the original is simply better and more musically masterful.
@sheisbaegod I don’t hate sampling, kanye is one of my favorite artist. Sampling is beautiful if done right, unfortunately a lot of artist use it as a way to half ass some songs

This is cope for the lack of instrumental talent among the hip hop generation. The bottomline is this, 1 producer who is a multi-instrumentalist will generally put out better music more prolifically than the producer who is not. But a band of instrumentalists will always be best.
The "don't sample just make original music" crowd also listens to songs with 5 producers and 10 writers
