+100. I feel similarly about the trolley car problem taking attention away from more important conversations around ethics + autonomous vehicles.
AI+ethics is important, but has been partly hijacked by the AGI (artificial general intelligence) hype. Let's cut out the AGI nonsense and spend more time on the urgent problems: Job loss/stagnant wages, undermining democracy, discrimination/bias, wealth inequality.

In switching from iOS to Android, I'm finding myself wishing I had the customizability of Android + the more sensible defaults of iOS. (e.g. my pixel 2 notifies me whenever I'm near an open wifi network by default because why?).
