Year 4 students have been writing their news reports, and the results are amazing! Their headlines are exciting, their facts are clear and their writing is creative!

Year 4 learned how Earth’s rotation causes day and night. Using a globe and a torch, we modelled how sunlight reaches one side of the Earth while the other side stays in darkness, helping us clearly see why we experience day and night.

Year 5 are exploring balanced arguments in English. Today, the children considered the arguments for and against artefacts being kept in their homelands, linking perfectly with our core text of 'Secrets of a Sun King.' These examples used a variety of adverbials too!

Year 4 have been learning about latitude and longitude in Geography, exploring how these lines help locate places on Earth. They practiced identifying key lines on the globe, including the Equator and Prime Meridian.

Collective Worship in Year 5. The children enjoy coming together each morning to pray, sing and worship in our classroom. It is a wonderful way to welcome a new day! Our musicians demonstrate their skills playing their instruments as part of our prayer time too.
