You know what's some bullshit when it comes to cagematch and match lengths? They don't let you rate matches under 5 minutes and I think that's a bunch of fucking nonsense. There are tons of under 5 minute matches that rule.
@KrisPLettuce This is why I never send cagematch match lengths. The people don't need to know how long a match actually was. If they think they need to know that, they can bring a stopwatch.

Even as a broke 22 year old, me and my roommate paid for cable because that's how you watched stuff in 2008. There's not a chance that if I was 22 and renting an apartment now that I would be paying for cable.

33% of people under 50 having cable seems like a pretty legit number to me. I think the under 30s massively pull the number down. How many people getting their first apartments are going to get cable now? Seems highly unlikely.
AEW was first in the time slot, second for the day. The actual 18-49 rating was 0.53 which means only 33.6 percent of people 18-49 have access to TBS. This tells why streaming is so important.

I wish we had the Max numbers. I think the people scoffing at the idea it's a significant number are just plain wrong but I also don't think it's anything like 500,000 viewers a week.
AEW did 711K/0.18. Doesn't include MAX which skews heavy 18-49.

Doing some math I've figured that ESPN needs around 972,000 monthly subs at $30 each to break even on the WWE deal. That's pretty much what WWE was doing at the end for U.S. subs to WWE Network but $30 is a lot more than $10.

When is the last time someone leaked a story that made the intended party just look better? Obviously the Hurt Syndicate story is supposed to make them look bad but revealing the only idea AEW has for them losing the belts is "Put them back on FTR" only makes TK look bad imo.

Especially when you're dealing with wrestlers who could always just say "Ehh, I don't like that idea so I'm going to go home" and then you gotta do a tournament and figure out how to pretend you have a tag division with 8 real teams that could be champs.

It's funny seeing people take that story and say it means Hurt Syndicate have creative control. There's this whole big area in between "yes boss whatever you say" and "You know, I don't like that idea" and you save "I'm the boss, do it my way" for the important arguments.

Crazy that people are saying MVP and The Hurt Syndicate are bad for saying no to losing to FTR and they aren't blasting Tony Khan for having ZERO ideas for the tag division outside of "We'll just put the belts back on The Bucks/FTR".

They shouldn't lose to FTR. They should lose to a new team that can get something out of the loss. Why in the world would anyone think otherwise? Is it good that AEW hasn't made a legit top tag team since The Acclaimed? You don't fix that by going back to The Bucks or FTR.
The claim internally in AEW was that Hurt Syndicate said no to pitches of losing to FTR at both AEW All In and Forbidden Door. Instead, MVP had stated that the team preferred to lose the championships to younger teams. MVP's personal preferences were that of Gates of Agony, The
