We are hoping to use half the symposium to engage in a critical discussion (amongst panelists and the audience) about the future of our field in researching LGBTQ+ topics If you are able to share this or DM me about any potential panelists please let me know!

The other is a scoping review of LGBTQ+ Student Mental Health research across fields and has about 500 included studies.

The symposium will also present the results of two scoping reviews I’m leading with other NASP LGBTQ2-IS members as team members. One is a scoping review of research on LGBTQ+ Topics in SP journals and by SP faculty and analyzed around 200 articles.

Field is going with research. Is it meaningful for students? Does it take a critical or de-colonial lens? Is it grounded in minority stress theory? Are there any topics not being addressed or that are being ignored by researchers? Etc.
