Upcoming creators are told that REJECTION is the norm when pitching, but what we're really facing is a VOID—complete indifference and apathy. Trust me, receiving any sort of rejection would be a welcomed change. Mentally prepare for the void, keep pushing, and you'll get there.

Good writing advice can come from anywhere. One of the best pieces I ever got was from the memoir of a post-9/11 Marine officer. It was very simple: "Turn the map around." That is to say, look at your scenario, then imagine what it looks like from the enemy's perspective.

I don’t think I’ve ever drawn #Clayface, but my MOCHA MONSTER was kinda inspired by The Glop/Glob and Clayface.

"We've got Clayface, which is a totally different thing. Although it's in the same universe, it's a complete horror film. That's one of the things we want to do - there's not a company style. It's not like every movie is going to be like Superman. The artists - the directors and

While we’re at it, we might as well not have the music 10x louder than anything else on the show.

We joke around and whatnot, but for real. Can we PLEASE start mixing audio in a way that allows us to understand what the actors are saying? Just about everybody I know has to keep subtitles on. This is really stupid.

So there's been a rumor spreading around the neighborhood from kid to kid, that I've been "roasting cats over a fire." My initial reaction was to set the record straight, but then I remembered Lieutenant Colonel Ronald Speirs, and the power of myth. Cats, and kids, beware.

Follow me (@brockswinson) to watch how epic stunts were filmed. Here’s Chris Hemsworth on the set of Extraction for Netflix. Director Sam Hargrave. This is all building up to the first ever documentary about the history of stunts in Hollywood: Daredevil Society.

A graphic novel has nothing to do with how 'dark' the material is. It's simply a long-form comic, usually a complete story like Craig Thompson's BLANKETS. It'd be like referring to a television series as a 'movie' because it's dark and gritty. 'Graphic novel' is just a format.

Campy? Goofy? You, sir, are describing exactly what a “Comic Book” movie should be. You are looking for dark, gritty and mildly depressing. That is a “Graphic Novel” movie. There is a difference and the sooner people learn that, the sooner there may be peace. #Superman #DCU.

COYOTES: “Conservation, Coexistence, Tolerance.” 🙄. Just sayin. If a coyote tries to snatch my lil nephew, that rabid POS is gonna meet a bullet if that’s my only choice. That or my mace (medieval, spikes, not the spray). 775,000 coyotes running wild in California. Coyote

Don't be afraid to do the hard things. There are far less people trying to do hard things because they're all busy trying to do the easy things. If you're willing to do the hard things, you'll find far less competition. Sometimes, none at all.
