WFP is calling for: At least 100 trucks per day to be allowed into Gaza from northern, central and southern border points. Much faster approvals and clearances to move trucks inside Gaza, for the safety of civilians and our staff. All military forces on the ground to respect.

Almost all of the trucks carrying WFP food aid inside Gaza have been stopped by civilians before reaching WFP warehouses. As a result, organized distributions are not possible, hot meals kitchens receive no supplies from WFP and bakeriesx cannot re-open.

While the number of WFP trucks entering Gaza has improved slightly since 27 July, it's still a fraction of what's needed. The food supplies going into Gaza include wheat flour, supplies for hot meals, ready-to-eat meals, yeast and nutrition products.

As of 07 August, in the 11 days since “humanitarian pauses” in Gaza were announced, WFP teams have been able to dispatch over 10,400 metric tons (MT) of food aid inside Gaza, via more than 800 trucks.

WFP food convoys keep moving into Gaza as starvation drives lawlessness, leaving the most vulnerable without food.

WHO "People in Gaza are dying from hunger and diseases. The ongoing blockages must be stopped and greater volumes of aid need to come in to rebuild critical reserves.".

OCHA warns: aid entering Gaza is far below needs. Missions face 18+ hour delays; airdrops continue to kill & injure civilians. Most efficient route is aid by road, through all crossings, to reach people safely & at scale.

He stressed: this move risks more forced displacement, killings, and massive destruction, on top of a crisis already “of horrific proportions.”.He repeated: Permanent ceasefire. Unhindered humanitarian access. Immediate release of all hostages.

The UN warns: escalating violence, demolitions, and settler attacks are driving a protection crisis for civilians especially children. Without accountability, the cycle of displacement, destruction, and fear will deepen.

Education under attack:.• 13,000+ students affected by demolition threats to >80 schools.• 2,000+ education-related incidents since start of 2024/25 school year.• Nablus most affected: 849 recorded incidents.Impact: closures, disrupted learning, long-term harm to education.

Demolitions:.•43 Palestinian-owned structures demolished in a week for lack of permits (almost impossible for Palestinians to get).• 47 people displaced, incl. 21 children.• 29 families in East Jerusalem at imminent risk of losing homes due to demolition of 2 buildings.
